White-eyed American cockroach

Pycnoscelus nigra - This is the prettiest black roach I have. It's not dark brown or almost black; it's extremely black.

Arenivaga sp. - I want to start calling them bear heads.

Gromphadorhina oblongonata - Pic taken by my friend at EmeraldExotics.net.

More to come soon. Thanks for looking.

I like the G. oblongonata. Where is this species originally from?

The last one is a G. oblongata? . I think that the G. oblongata have white stripes. Can you explain me (us) how do you ID it? Thanks!:)

G. oblongonata are from Madagascar like the other hissers. And yes, G. oblongonata have some white (not stripes though) when they are nymphs. The one in the picture is an adult.

More pictures on the way..

Great roaches!!!! How big is your Gromphadorhina oblongonata? Mine matured faster than I expected and they are also smaller then I thought they would be. But, I love the reddish color.

Some of my adult oblongonata are small too, but some are pretty massive, well over 3" long. I think this species has the same variety of size and color morphs as G. portentosa; it's just that nobody has started selectively breeding for them yet. I had one big male awhile back that kept his juvenile colors even though he looked mature, but he ended up dying. :(
