Here is a pic of my rhopalurus junceus. I need to be sure what is the gender of my Rhj so I can start to look for its pair. Thanks in advance!



I think we can determine the sex thru the shape of its pincers. correct me if im wrong. So that I can start to look for its pair. Thanks in advance guys!

like Brian...you can't tell until they are sexually mature. They are sexually dimorphic...but until then, you can't tell.

yep, this specimen is too young. Males have boxing glove chela and a stronger developed metasoma, also there is some sexual dichotomy in them, this means that the males are different colored then the females......just wait for a few molts and you can see. The male-female ratio is 1 to 5.
