I scored this 90 gallon tank stand from a lps for half price after some minor shipping damage. Well looking closer it's only assembled with wood glue and staples. I know the stand supposedly will support a full 90 gallon tank but the tank is over 100 lbs and 90 gallons of water is 720 lbs, and I just wasn't gonna trust it. So I made it beefy.

I wouldn't trust it. Every aquarium stands I've seen has been metal or had a frame of metal for that size of a tank.

Saving a few bucks isn't worth your life or severe property damage.

It might be ok for an almost empty tank such as a snake cage, with a few inches of substrate or newspapers but no way filled with water!!

That Is why it's now internally braced with 2x4 and 2x6 and the rims are all tied in with 3" structural screws
