I already know you can't feed T's freeze dried food, but could you possibly rehydrate them and then feed it to them? I'm about to get my first T and it's no problem for me to get live food, but if an easier option is available I'd prefer that.

Many tarantulas would refuse such food. Just get mealworms and keep them in the fridge, done.

Why though?

Definitely go for live food. Mealworms are definitely the easiest to manage but I’d highly recommend dubia roaches if you have access to them.

My nearest pet shop only has crickets and my T will be 1/4" and I believe that's too small for roaches until it gets bigger. And it was just a theoretical idea since the main reason why dried food doesn't work is because it lacks fluid so it isn't too far of a stretch to think that simply rehydrating them might be viable, and if it did work then food maintenance would be much easier. But it was just an idea.
