There are now 11 of the original 20 left. No one was eaten inside the tank!
Males matured and died of natural causes in the setup and two of the males males I let go to people I knew for a chance to breed. Oddly enough I still think there are a few younger males in the setup that have not matured almost a year later. I was not so lucky on the ratios this go round but I am tempted to add 10 or so slings to the setup to see what happens.
In the video they are in a small 1 gallon container so I could clean out the main setup.
Enjoy.

Heck I don't know. lol.

They are very calm for the most part though. I had no trouble taking them out one at a time and putting them into the 1 gallon container while I cleaned. I did not have to put the lid on ether. They just walked right in and sat there. Ill finish it up tonight and put them back in.

That is a lot of pokies in one spot! I look forward to seeing their regular enclosure.

On a side note, I would advise against putting slings in there with the juvies/adults. I would think that the bigger ones would eat the slings.

Just my two cents, but that was an awesome video.

And I disagree. I bet nothing happens at all. At one point the smallest one in this setup was 2" and the biggest was 5"+. No one died.

do you think that maybe being in a communal setup is why they are a little calmer? Just a thought.

Well that is good to hear. All the other communal setups I have seen/owned, (at least with scorpions) the bigger ones eat the little ones.

But that is awesome that you haven't had any casualties, and that they are calm.

Can't wait to see pictures or video of the regular enclosure!!
