What are some smaller tarantulas that you have and recommend? I've started my journey of acquiring and maybe down the line breeding dwarf Ts. I have a H formosus (...large? too small to tell, seller was unsure too), D. pentaloris, and C elegans. And in the future I want to get Ts from the genuses (geni? someone lmk) Dolichothele, Cyriocosmus, and various other small species like Avicularia minatrix and Idiothele mira. How do you feel about the smaller guys?
My dwarf collection currently only consists of D. pentaloris, K. brunnipes, and H. formosus. With that being said, I will happily recommend K. brunnipes. Cute patterns, good little eater, very active, easy to keep, and a fun attitude! Loving dwarfs so far!

(Also, the plural of genus is genera ;))

I got a P sp Blue, 1/4". It ate once and then dug itself in, I havent seen it in 3 weeks. Hopefully it's chillin...
Yeah sounds about right. Mine didn't eat for a month before molting at around the same size as yours 😆. I'm super lucky as the burrow is against the side of the enclosure.

I typed A paloma in google and the first thing that popped up was this:

I am definitely going to research this more. Thanks.
Try searching with "pocock" or "Hamilton" or "Aphonopelma revision" you'll find her :)

All specimens of that genus cost me 25$
that is gratuitous knife in the wound 🤣🥲 sigh.

Not true, other NWs lack UrS

When i said unique, i did not mean it as in them being the only ones. You are definitely right, there are others that do not have them. For lack of better english capacities, i did not know how to phrase it. I find it “unique” but perhaps i should have said: they are different from most NW. Maybe that would have been read better. Thanks for pointing it out, i dont want to give bad information.

That is such a beautiful tarantula. Definitely on my list of Tarantula’s I do not need. It is one of those spiders that if you could only have ONE, you would never get bored.
