man...all i can say is i totally miss it down there!...i grew up like i said in cape giradue, and went to IL alot as a kid. good times...snake bytes have you seen he new bride the built to cross from cape to illinois?...aot better! also when i lived there me and my dad helped the mo and il conservation department restore the local bald eagle population on that part of the mississippi. very cool birds. i miss those days....

Gotta love the internet. It is the only place a 14 year-old can question someone with a degree's expertise in reptiles. I love that people with almost no experience can question the validity of a statment made by a professional. It happens to me all the time.

Also on the internet, people are 1,000 times more likely to confront one another. How many "flame wars" have you really seen going on down the street? How many have you seen on this site alone?
I don't have a degree in anything, but that doesn't mean that I can't understand a certain field. To be quite honest, over half of the zoo keepers I know with degrees in biology and similar fields were not very bright. Degrees don't mean anything to me. I was not disrespecting snakebytes, simply trying to find out if they were true Cottonmouths. I would have questioned him the exact same way if I had spoken to him in person.
