I AM getting a pair of rats. Dont know what genders yet but I 100% am getting them. Luckily, and convieniently there is a rat breeder in town (met him whilst yard saleing). He had a big old rat on his shoulder and was telling me about how he breeds them. Thats how I got attached to the idea of getting some. Unfortunatley I dont quite have the room yet. But I am getting a pair. It's just a matter of when I will try for middle of september. Could be a month or so though. I will definitly post pictures of the cuties once I do get them. I am dying for some rat companions!
