It's a Canon T2i - 18 Mpx with the 18-55mm kit lens. This is my first dslr, looking to get a telephoto/macro soon as I have missed a lot of oppertunities because I just couldn't reach them with this one. Upgraded from a Canon SX10 IS.
The kit lense is still pretty good though despite what people say about them.
Some of my pics as I progressed with the camera. The newer ones are a little more sharp because I just learned how to properly resize them without losing detail. All T2i pics were with the kit lens so far.
Something I learned just recently: if you can, put a US penny (back side up) next to spiders like this when you photograph them. The columns on the Lincoln Memorial are about 1 mm apart (and, the topmost part of the roof is about 1 cm long), which gives the viewer a semi-objective way to gauge the size of these "little" beasties (since most of these live ones won't stand still while you measure their body length).
