I've had an A. versicolor since she was 3rd instar. She's been with me for over a year, now, and has been very friendly.
Two nights ago, it came time to clean her tank. Upon trying to guide her out with a pen, she turned and bit it! To see if it was a fluke, I lightly touched her back leg again. Another bite! I assumed she was hungry, and gave her a roach, which she quickly ate.
Tonight, I was going to give her a cricket, since I had a few extras. I opened the lid, and she burst out the top, threw up a threat posture, then charged around the outside, and back in. Needless to say, I was baffeled!
Is it normal for versicolors to go through a "terrible-two" kind of stage? None of my other spiders have done this. Bizare :?
