Quickest Growing Tarantula?

I’m curious to know what the quickest growing tarantula is. I wanna know if there is such thing as “a quickest growing” species, if it’s just the specific T, and what’s the has been the fastest growing T in your collection. So far mine has probably been my Nhandu Chromatus.

Psalmopoeus victori has had the fastest growth out of the species I have kept. It's ridiculous.

Followed by Xenesthis.

Baboon spiders grow particularly fast too.

My Poecilotheria ornata and subfusca. Crazy,crazy growing. My GBB weren't this fast, or my Psalmopoeus.
Second comes my G.iheringi.

N. incei were the fastest growing slings I've ever had. And Megaphobema mesomelas. I think it depends somewhat on the temperature. Some species grow slower in lower temps (most tropical species molted less often in winter for me) but others are not affected by low temps. Especially Megaphobema just keeps growing, no matter how cold it gets (up to a point, of course).

@Andrea82 is spot on about P. Ornata (I don’t have subfusca). I got mine as a 1.25 inch sling a few months ago. It just molted a second time in my care last week and is an easy 2.5 inches. I would also throw L. Violaceopes into the running, mine is growing at ludicrous speed, just had to do a rehouse yesterday.

P. cams, Tappies and N. incei all grow like dandelions in June. All can mature in about 10 months IME.

My P. irminia has been the fastest growing, its already molted twice in three months, and put on a lot of size each time.

The fastest grower I have is my P. atrichromatus, I got it in October at a little over an inch and now it's close to 3"

My Cyriocosmus have been the fastest growing overall. Hapalopus sp. Colombia Large is on par with them - that is the only species I have had who has moulted in less than four weeks.
My Acanthoscurria geniculata female went from 2" to nearly 6" in less than a year. She gained 1.5" in one moult alone. I don't powerfeed and they are all kept at room temperature.

I found Poecilotheria as a whole grow very quickly. Maybe it's just because they get so big and thus put on alot of size every molt, but I swear I've had near 5" a year with some.

Maybe there's some dwarf that grows faster but is un-noticed because it's not very big at max size.

Lampropelma are very fast too. Around 4" a year IME.

Interesting. My P. irminia has been taking its sweet time molting even though it eats well.

Don't worry I have a broken GBB who's refused more times than I can count, and hasn't molted since I got it (6 months)

P cambridgei was a freebie 11/2016 and matured 5 months ago. This guy will be my first old age death when he goes, and will definitely be replaced. Something about these spiders is just cool.

Hapalopus sp Columbia went from tiny straw to mature in under a year. I sold him and bought ten slings. I love these spiders gonna get a female or two for sure lol.

Obt also matured the same as the pumpkin patch. Will not be replaced when he passes. He wasn't a horrible monster or anything, I just don't care for them and don't have room for everything.

P vittata is probably going to mature his next molt. Got huge in less than a year. I would definitely like more pokies.

I was just looking at my N. incei after it's last molt and it's huge! This is just one molt. One or two more at this rate and it's going to need a new home.
P. irminia has been pretty quick too. I just got my cambridgei so I can't comment on that.

P. regalis and C. cyaneopubescens are the two with the most significant growth in my experience but the edge goes to the GBB. That thing grows crazy fast.

H. sp. Columbia Small grow incredibly fast, as does the Large variant too. I find Lv's grow pretty quick as well.

G. iheringi and G. actaeon grow incredibly fast, prob one of the fasted growing NWs.

I was given a freebie "pinhead size" OBT sling, had to be 1/4" or less. In 7 months, it has reached 2".

P. cambridgei also had impressive growth. Leg span almost seems to expand twice with each molt.

One of the GBB was bought at 2" last year molted out as MM last month. He is a big spider too.
