questions for superworm keepers.

Hey so i have a superworm colony for like a month or two... i feed them bread (which might not be the best). iam sure you all know that bread gets hard when taken out of the bread thing. so my question is... do i need to keep changing the uneaten bread twice a week like i always do, or can superworms eat the hard bread? just a thought i had cause i havent bought bread yet and iam out. thank you!

Easiest thing to do is to just use a layer of oatmeal as both bedding and food source. Add in slice of fruits or vegetables (what they can eat in a day otherwise remove it ) for water source

I agree, rolled oats are the best substrate, "quick cooking" or whole or a mix of both. Then it's just vegetable scraps for moisture, usually a couple of slices of carrot every few days.
Bread is better dried for most animals, it's fresh bread that causes problems so if bread is all you have then I would actually dry or toast it before feeding. Oats are pretty cheap in most places I think though.

Mine don't eat bread at all. I give them, oats, dry dog food, fish food, raw vegetables from time to time, and they also like to gnaw pieces of old wood.

Yes , I wasn't recommending bread, but I do understand having to make do with what's on hand.
