Hello guys, got a question here :)

So, I fed my 1.5+" Avic avic a mealworm last night. It actually ate it, so I just leave it there. And now, the mealworm is still there but badly "damaged" and its dead. When I tried to remove it, the T quickly turns and grab the dead mealworm back. Should I get worried about this? I don't want to invite the "unwanted" in the enclosure & I feel bad if I remove the dead mealworm since the T still wanted to eat it.

Will it be fine to leave it in there? Will the T eventually finish it all up?

P/S - the T now still biting it and sucking it up I guess. :)

I'd just leave it in there till its finished eating it and done with it. Once the tarantula doesn't want it any longer it will usually discard it and then you can grab it out with some tweezers.

Agree with above. When the spider is done with the food it'll typically be a little ball discarded in some corner that s/he won't come rushing after (unless your spider is particularly aggressive) when you go to pick it up.

Yep It is interesting how T's Like to eat leftovers :D;)
A couple of my T's Like to saran-wrap their leftovers and heat them up for later.
