Agreed for the most part. But you will see them. It's not like a Haplopelma or Anphonopelma seemani. I think that they will do fine on shallow substrate and a hide too.
Hi: We had an adult that we gave enough soil to burrow and a retreat. Most of the time he stayed out in the open. Then when he molted into a male we shipped him off to Phillip. But never once while we had him did he try to burrow. Pam
