He's been in the new enclosure for 2 weeks, but I handled him every day on the first week and some days on the second.
I think we found the problem. ;) Believe me, it's tempting to play with them when they're so tiny and cute! But especially since he's new and already overwhelmed, I'd keep it down to no more than two or three times a week, for no more than five or ten minutes at a time. And not the day before you feed him, or the day of feeding or the day after.

Also don't try offering food more than once a week, even if he doesn't eat it. I've heard that trying constantly to feed a non-feeder just stresses them out more and makes them less likely to eat. Man, these are some dumb snakes, why do we love them? {D

Haha, I already made a vow that I'm not gonna handle him until he eats. Btw he doesn't look skinny as of now, no wrinkles at all, and he's really active at dusks/nights. I think I'll try again in a week or two.

Problem

As I was checking temps in his cage and doing maintenance stuff, I lifted up his water bowl (ceramic). The barks under it are wet (I'm guessing as he goes by he spatters some water sometimes) and I spotted some tiny little white moving things on some of the barks. Mites? I removed the snake immediately and checked his skin, and put him in a plastic box, checked him and no sign of any parasites on his skin. I guess they could form on those barks because they were under the water bowl - not much ventilation. Should I remove the substrate, clean and disinfect everything in the tank including the tank thoroughly?

Damn, I f...ed up. :( :wall:
