If you had a puppy would you poke it in the face until it tried to bite you? No, hopefully not. So why do this to a T? It's not fair to the spider. Did you say it's name was Torment? Well that's appropriate because that's what it has to suffer when you do this to it.

Also, as others have said, if this is the enclosure you keep it in all the time and have wood chips instead of proper substrate you need to do your homework on Tarantula Husbandry before going out and acquiring these living creatures. Please remember, a tarantula is not a toy!

A- This is a burrowing T
B- Not a good species for beginners
C- Pure wood chips are no good for tarantulas

good advice for the OP
but no need to get hysterical ie "animal cruelty"
hopefully the T is in a new enclosure with better substrate and wont be provoked anymore.

Lol guys, u scared him off with your posts.. but i know he`s out there somewhere reading all of your posts and he`s not happy about what he did. But what can u do if this all he`s capable of doing for a T.
Some research would be good for him before getting a T.
I feel bad for that poor thing :(

After a look at my hands.. Your hands are huge lol. 5 inches is like holding a AA battery in your hand. 5" is almost bigger than my palm.
