The species itself ranges from around 4.5" to 5.5". The males seem to stick to the lower end of the range and the females tend to be at the top. They get about the same size as a Pterinochilus Murinus. Make sure you give your new pet hole enough substrate to burrow and you get some pictures of him now before he dissapears.
I have a female also, she's still quite small. She has burrowed SOOO much. There's so much buildup around her tank from burrowing the same hole. I've seen her once since I got her so be sure and take pictures!
I bought a female last weekend at a pet expo. They had two available and they said that one always burrows and buries herself and the other one never burrows. I picked up the smaller one that never burrows so I can see her often.
My OBT's aren't really burrowers either - but they sure make some great webs.
I have a female also and she burrows, But I see her quite a lot. always wandering around her area. I see her quite alot. not like my OBT and my Cobalt,,,,,,,,,its like a cage with dirt.....until feeding time my Lugardi is about 4.5 right now. great looking baboon. congrats on getting one.
