The crix is so irritating. It tries to burrow within like 2 minutes in the enclosure and my Wallie can't be bothered to dig it up. And I don't think rosea is known for actively trying to dig crix up. And I'm afraid that a dead crix in the burrow which I am not aware of will attract mold.
So is there a way to prevent it from burrowing?

You could use the approach I used - switch to roaches and crush their heads so they won't burrow.... I must admit - feeding the Ts became pretty simple after that switch! :D

May sound weird, but I cut the legs off of my crickets with a pair of small grooming scissors. I don't want my babies to work too hard to catch their food.:D

Crickets don't burrow. End of story.

The females dig a small ditch to back into to lay their eggs. That's as close to burrowing as it gets.

Crusader, to each their own, I suppose, but I think your tarantulas will do just fine chasing the cricket around. I see no point to trimming legs other than to waste your time.

Crickets will try to hide but I've never seen one burrow.
If they find a crack somewhere, they will use it, but I'm pretty sure they don't dig.

Agreed - the little ones seem to find any holes in the substrate and hide in them. I think it gives the appearance of burrowing.
