I am doing some research on the Missouri Tarantula and intend on "hunting" them this month. In researching, I have found a few references to a Prairie Scorpion that is also found in the area I will be looking for the T. Have any of you had experience with the prairie scorpion, it's habits, types of hide, etc?? I have googled it and find no real answers to my questions and I haven't a clue as to the scientific name as it wasn't provided in the information.
HaHaTonka Park
"Several large glades can also be found at the park. Often referred to as Missouri' s "deserts," glades contain plants and animals more usually associated with the southwestern United States. Glade inhabitants include the large yellow-flowered Missouri evening primrose, the Missouri brown-eyed Susan, prairie scorpions and the Missouri tarantula. "
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
