Possible growth or injury on new T

I just unpacked a new confirmed female Brachypelma boehmei and noticed it has some type of growth or injury on the underside of its abdomen. I have contacted the seller immediately within the 2 hour window of picking it up from FedEx. Being a confirmed female I paid a good price for it. Should I be concerned about the growth/injury?

@The Spider House has experience with this
After a closer look it looks like it might be the book lung or in that location. Trying not to disturb the T since I just unpacked it a few hours ago. Will try to get a better picture soon.

Nope not on the book lung.

It seems like there's a 50/50 outcome with these issues - about half the time, the T molts and the issue resolves, but the other half the time it continues to grow and eventually the T passes. If I were in your shoes, I would send this one back to the seller - not worth risking it to me.

I will definitely try to find that thread. Is this a problem or will it resolve on its own?
Here is the link to the other recent post mentioned along with my response/experience further down

Looking at yours, I don't believe it is on the booking like the link above. However, cysts do have the potential to always be present after a moult.

As it is on the abdomen, the principle I used with my T blindi was to not overfeed as tou doesn't want added pressure built up.

If not completely happy given this is a new acquisition and hopefully if the vendor is a decent bloke/girl, then maybe a replacement or refund can be sorted.

I’ve had spiders live or die with cyst/ underside abrasions. More often they don’t make it . I have a very old one too I can’t find but this is a newer one

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The seller reached out and apologized about the situation and has offered me store credit for the full amount of the T. Not sure what the outcome will ultimately be but I will continue to monitor and not over feed.
