But hello again Forum!
After a rather long hiatus i'm back, but this time (surprisingly) i won't post about termites but something i'm much less knowledgeable about: isopods. Specifically, here we have some young Porcellio bolivari "Yellow Ghost" i got recently (altough i've already bred this species years ago before stopping with isopods for private reasons - but now i'm backwith them!). This is a large and impressive species native to southeastern Spain and one of the classic Spanish giants along with the likes of hoffmanseggii, succintus, expansus and magnificus. Interestingly, as far as i know the "Yellow Ghost" coloration, which shows a more marked dorsal yellow stripe than the "base" bolivari, is not just the result of selective breeding as is common in the isopod hobby but rather a naturally occurring population from the area of Alicante.
Definitely one of my favorite terrestrial isopods, love their elegance.
