If you are in the Philippines and expecting an order, it's gonna be a little late.

Part that sucks is to read is that the wildlife management will ‘dispose’ of them....sounds like they will just throw them away.

Sad about the disposal. What part of be inconspicuous when dealing with illegal import did the sender not comprehend? Gee, let’s make the package look odd...it’ll be just fine. Next time keep the dang shoe box to ship.

And what is up with the six months and one day, or one year in jail? Who comes up with these crazy sentences?

So did the buyer in the Philippines have to pay for those old dirty shoes as part of the shipping cost or maybe the buyer had to send the seller the shoes first? I always wondered how smugglers work that out.

Another member here posted about getting his tarantulas shipped in a small, plastic, plane. The poster was actually complaining about the condition of the animals that were smuggled - the post was removed. Nothing screams smuggling/brown boxing like hiding spiders in shoes and toys.

According to a friend of mine those specimens "are as good as dead", the agency they were sent to is notorious for killing seized specimens apparently.

Thanks,
