ornata/regalis hybrid?!or are they just living together?
about five years ago i did some experimenting and mated ornata female with regalis male (just for _MY_ purposes). I've got an eggsack, which the female tried to eat at the end, but i have rescued seven 1st molt slings. This female is the last one of them. I was naively hoping for her get laid by her brother (also hybrid) as they were living together for some months, drumming, vibrating, looking happy. well, she molted recently. now i wanted to proove if this hybridized female is fertile or not

Hi

Very nice spider. i like hybrids, but it is bad when it is in hands of irresponsible person.

Which Poecilotherias have got coloration forms and which are these ?

weird markings on the opisthisoma. is it okay to mate siblings even in normal situations? if so you should try to further hybridize them.

there was an article about inbreeding of P. murinus in one BTS Journal and the author stated, that not even 4th generation of these spiders was affected by "incest". So i suppose it is not that hot problem in invertebrates.

maybe i've tried to go too far by attempting to mate hybrid with hybrid.
now i'm just curious what will happen when i will try to mate her with male regalis and what with ornata. and what about any other species?

please remember, this is just an experiment to proove hybrids infertility. not a God-play to create new species!

Some pokies

If I have a group of pokies, can I mate them toghether, or I have to get every one on it own? I heard that they can be agressive to other, when they are mated.

And some pics... 149 baby regalis
