This is for user engagement I know to search the forum. I’m not simple. Thanks buddy!Search the forum
These are common Ts and people ask for their care all the time. Buying advanced OW Ts without researching their care is irresponsibleThis is for user engagement I know to search the forum. I’m not simple. Thanks buddy!
I am not worried about the care I will provide. I feel confident. Like I said it’s about engagement and convo. There is always something new or interesting someone can share from already having the animal. The facts are out there I know where to find them. Thank you! These are common Ts and people ask for their care all the time. Buying advanced OW Ts without researching their care is irresponsible
Thank you! Also not my first T Just my first Poecilotheria.I hope these aren’t your first Ts, let alone your first fast Ts
Best tip is to read the forum, and come back with specific questions. All general info is already on this forum.
I own both- great species.Thank you! Also not my first T Just my first Poecilotheria.
Thanks a lot. Will take this into account when providing all of these essentials.Provide a good hide, plenty of silk plants for them to feel safe. Some substrate to let them dig a little.
My experience has been positive. Temperament wise, they would prefer to retreat. Don't clutter it up so much that they have a difficult time squeezing behind a plant or making cage maint. difficult.
As already stated, they are fast. But out of all OW's, more predictable than other Asian arboreals.
*No tong feeding
I am looking forward to it. It has been a very healthy experience thus far. I am getting females and hoping to have them for the longest possible lifespan. Treat them well with integrity as exotic pets.I own both- great species.
I guess it's also worth mentioning. They are extremely adaptable and hardy. As slings obviously you want some moisture, but as they mature they become tough as nails. I provide my adults a large water dish and occasional rain and they thrive. Thanks a lot. Will take this into account when providing all of these essentials.![]()

That’s great! I will be setting up the enclosures today. So I am excited to get their homes ready. I have not yet added live plants and wanted to give it a shot in these setupsI'm a live plant lover, when possible. These guys do well with live plants. A nice arboreal enclosure with some wood and a couple simple live plants. Gorgeous display tanks! Fast growth rates (I have time stamped pics in my photo thread if you want an idea of growth rate for metalica).
These couple weeks about to move a group of Metallica to their final enclosure, will post a couple pics. Super fun spiders that allows one to have some extra fun with their enclosure easily
Very easy spiders. All the normal responsibility aside, the genus is generally a breeze.
i would said say, wait for the plants. Master these Masters, then add real plants. Plants require skills, in a tarantula enclosure. If you want best results with your tarantulas, make them the priority. You’ll have your hands full learning about their personalities and cues. That’s great! I will be setting up the enclosures today. This is honestly some really good advice and I will abide this. You helped me see things differently! Much appreciated!i would said say, wait for the plants. that way you can adapt with real plants after.
i dont own these, but don’t depend solely on the water bowl. You can add a spritz of water now and then on enclosure walls, or plastic plants. Arboreals like these, will suck water of surfaces. Its natural for them, and they come from places where dew happens at certain moments.
i am not saying you need condensation 24/7. Just so we understand each other. Its casual, carefully placed water droplets.
If it helps, then why not. I really hope you have a good experience with your new tarantulas. This is honestly some really good advice and I will abide this. You helped me see things differently! Much appreciated!
My thanks is broadcast my friend! If it helps, then why not. I really hope you have a good experience with your new tarantulas.
