I obtained a MM Poecilotheria Pederseni in early October from a good friend. Once I got the MM I let him relax for a few days and build a sperm web. The rest of the info goes as follows.
Lighting- N/A there were no special lighting efforts with this pair.
Temps- 78-80 degrees.
In almost the 3rd week of October 07 I placed the MM in with my female. I witnessed one good pairing. The female and the MM then co habited together for the next few weeks. In early November I received a second recently molted adult female. Once she was comfortable and had eaten a few roaches I then allowed the MM to co habit with her as well. Good inserts were seen, and the female co habited with the MM until the MM was killed by the female.
There will be no cool down for ether of these girls. And right now currently, two months after the first female was mated, she is showing eggs in her abdomen. This female has also blocked herself in her hide. I expect a sac will be constructed in the coming weeks. I am misting more now with the first female and will continue to mist to stimulate egg sac construction. Currently both females are refusing food.
Updates on this female and the second female will be posted when there is an outcome.
