regalis terrarium

Helo!
P. regalis is one of the largest arboreal species, and is certainly not for beginners, this species is very fast and can be aggressive if provoked, but will mostly run and hide. For that specie- I think- need about 10 gallons and 20x20x40 cm terrarium, tall enclosure, 4-5cm vermiculite substrate and a piece of cork bark to climb and web on. Temperature about 80-85 F and humidity 75-80%. He is very fast, so be carefull and exercise caution when feeding, re-housing or during tank maintenance.

Hiya. A 12x12x12 exoterra would be sufficient, but a 12x12x18(tall) would be even better. I see from your profile you keep a C. sp. "blue". My understanding is that they are similar to pokies in temp, humidity, spacial requirements and their temperament and speed is also somewhat similar. Take what you know from that blue and apply it to your regalis.

Im going to go bigger for my Pokie. I figure(just a theory) the bigger the space the the more hiding places the more secure the T will feel and the less likly it will try to bolt out, but instead "dig in" and go deeper into the tank when threatened.

Sure you guys could go bigger but 12x12x18 is absolutely sufficient for a 7" arboreal t.

Completely agree. Also much cheaper and I think better is a 5 gallon aquarium or reptile enclosure(which is an aquarium with a sliding top built in) turned on its end.
