The majority of pokies are not aggressive unless they feel cornered IMHO

I have a colony of 6 regalis and one of formosa also have sub adult formosa, pederseni and rufilata and several poecilotheria spiderlings so I am by far not the best to comment. I would say out of all of them that I own the formosa are the most chilled and one of the most beautiful. I hear ornata AF have attitude and from several people.

You dont have to be a proffesional to take pics. You have captured the purple beatifully, yey u. :worship:

A very well fed pokie. Do you know if it's male or female? Thanks for sharing.

That's interesting. Of all my female Poecilotheria (I have all in US trade except P. smithi and P. miranda) my P. formosa are by far the most erratic. I would consider all my Poecilotheria to be quite calm, but both of my formosa girls are nuts! The slightest dirstubance to their enclosure and they're doing teleportation laps!

Nice pic and gorgeous spider BTW!!

Beautiful picture and T. :D Of all my pokies, my ornata is the most easily excited, most of my others are pretty calm.

This is my first pokie, P.formosa. Its 3.5"-4" and unsexed, I'm hoping for female. She's very fast but not agressive at all, I guess that might change.

Beautiful!

What type of enclosure will you put it in? When you do can you post
another photo in the enclosure? Wish you great luck with it!

I just placed it in a 5 gal. not an arboreal tank, but sufficient for now. I'll post pics later as she is currently eating a Superworm, which it grabbed right out of the foreceps.

Very pretty T....I'm sure this won't be your last pokie to purchase. I find they all have great markings.

Poecilotheria are #1

my little formosa has to be my fasted / most nervous / of the pokie I own actually. did'nt show much defensive behavior at the moment, except its fast speed and nervousity

great addiction mate
