Hey all, been a while since I’ve been active on the forums, but I acquired a S. alternans “Hispaniola Red Giant” pling back in mid-December. I had it in a 16 oz deli cup with Terra Aranea substrate kept partly moist, with a small piece of cork bark, some leaf litter, as well as some shredded sphagnum moss, and I was feeding it small pre-killed crickets once a week or so. It was doing well up until last week when it mysteriously passed away
I’m pretty baffled as I’m also keeping a S. sp. mint legs Pling/Juvie and a S. galapagoensis Juvie in very similar conditions and have yet to experience any problems with them. I ordered a replacement yesterday, and I was wondering if anyone here had any tips or advice so that I don’t lose this one as well, as these are VERY rare and expensive. Thx!
