Hi, e-petitions are completly useless and accomplish nothing.

From the Article

E-petitions are the latest manifestation of slacktivism, the search for the ultimate feel-good that derives from having come to society's rescue without having had to actually gets one's hands dirty or open one's wallet.
Yes, I really think 10,000 random, possibly faked, people from around the world will convince the governer of new mexico to enact this law. Probably 1/500th of the people who sign that actually might be able to hurt this guy by not voting for him.

Why not try writing your congressmen or donating to those evil animal rights activists that actually get their hands dirty and you know, PROTEST, the snake round ups. Or maybe protest them yourselves. Why not actually attempt to convince people by writing letters? And what about a boycott, why not let companies who do sponsor these events know you will not buy their products? Why not do an actual petition, or organize a voter intiative?

Nah, petition online is pretty reputable for an e-petition website, feel free to sign, just understand that it will take much, much, much more then this e-petition to stop these things.

I made note that humans are the ones intruding on their living space and we need to teach awareness and safety not a new snake nazi final solution...

Signed @ # 1003.

Cruelty reasons aside, snake slaughtering really isn't good husbandry of natural resources, or even good ecology.

RIGHT ON BROTHER!! AS AN ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVIST I AGREE!!! But no matter how small the impact an e-tition will do I will let my voice known and I totaly attend roundup picketts... I live in Western NY where we have a super swamp called Bergen Swamps.. You can't step in there without a rattler on yer butt. They gave up the round ups here because we threw a fit locally... So I urge people local to these to get involved.. It makes a difference. Always get involved.. actions speak louder than words.. Just remember we're supposed to be the civilized ones here... so don't do nothing crazy....

Now that's funny.

I signed the petition, too. 860-something if I remember correctly. You know, I've seen a number of these petitions put out by different people. Maybe the fact that there's no organization between all the groups is what's gonna keep them from actually doing any good.

Signed it myself and agree with this. You should see all the expensive homes, golf courses and stuff being built here in CA, near Yulaipa, Palm Springs, and Palm desert all along the corridor between the mountains. They aren't going to have enough electricity and water resources to go around, but the extremely rick folks don't care. All they are worried about is getting smoking banned, and changing the enviorment in the desert areas, bringing in all that water needed for their golf courses, fancy exotic plants, swimming pools, and spas. They want the bugs, snakes, and lizards removed.
