Hello all. About one year ago or more is when I first started getting into tarantula keeping. My first was a G. Pulchra, then, I went to a local reptile "swap meet" and I purchased a tarantula book from a vendor. Along with the book he handed me a tiny plastic container with an even tinyer s'ling in it. He siad it was a "pink zebra beauty". He gave it to me for free. It was about the size of my thumbnail and extremely hairy for it's size. About a month later I gave it away to someone else who eventually gave it away again.
Anyway, with all the reading I've been doing, I am much more familiar with scientific names than common names. Anyone have any idea what this little bugger could have been? Like I siad, it was very hairy and I guess it was kind of pinkish. But, I can't seem to find anything under that common name. Any ideas? Just curious. Thanks!

Pink Zebra Beauty or PZB is the common name for Eupalestrus campestratus.
Also small slings like what you described very rarely look like their parents.

Heres a picture looking into the face of my own female Eupalestrus campestratus..

As already correctly identified.

Eupalastrus campestratus, nice T's. Quite docile. :)

Picture of mine.

Ah..so, pink zebra beauty wasn't just his own 'made up' name. I haven't seen that common anywhere before. Cool, great looking spiders, thanks.
