Pink Toe cause of death?

Hi yesterday my pink toe was perfectly fine, she’s been eating well and she was crawling high yesterday. There were loud fireworks from our neighbors that we could hear very loudly in the house and my tarantulas sit by a window. today I woke up and found her on the ground dead, with this white substance on the side of the enclosure streaking down to where her abdomen and mouth are. I just don’t know what happened IMG_4582.jpeg IMG_4581.jpeg IMG_4580.jpeg IMG_4579.jpeg IMG_4582.jpeg IMG_4581.jpeg IMG_4580.jpeg IMG_4579.jpeg IMG_4582.jpeg

To be clear you can’t determine the exit point of the white material?

It looks like poop but who knows from here.

It’s POSSIBLE your T was constipated/dehydrated, and at some point last night died.

Its 100% sure to be dead?

the substance does look like poop.

if its dead, you can see on its body if any spots of fluids leaking.

might have fallen hard.

i have seen my nhandu color, just sitting on the glass, not even on inch above ground. She probably fall asleep at one point, and then, just falls on her back. Its like shes drunk or something.

shes not hurt. The height is barely an inch and nothing around to fall on.

but if yours got spooked and dropped and landed on something, who knows.

How long ago was her last molt? They have trouble sticking to the walls when premolt.

Were those blinds left open? Could she have been exposed to extreme temperatures as a result?

I don't consider them dead until obvious signs of decomposition...smell, mold, collapsed abdomen...

it seems like it came from her butt but it came out her mouth too

yeah it’s pretty cold in the area she was in ): I try to keep the heat on and around but I think it was cold last night. her last molt was like 7 months ago

I think she’s dead she’s still in the same position

Record a video that's a good 15-20mins, then watch it on max speed...I usually just slide the timestamp to the end real quick. You're looking for little micro movements. 7 months she could be due for a molt....so you don't want to disturb her just yet. I'd consider dribbling a few drops of water near her tomorrow to see if she responds.

I'd be more concerned about the sunlight cooking her than her being too cold.

she’s faced away from sunlight in the shelves she’s on, here’s more pics of her right now. I tried touching her with a brush and her limbs are like stiff. I don’t know if I should move her to ICU or leave her be but she’s on her side not moving still at all. What ventilation do you have on that enclosure? I see no holes drilled or screens installed......

Sub looks bone dry

The surefire way to know if the T has passed will be followed by a horrible decaying smell.

there’s ventilation at the top of the enclosure and on the side at the top

I just moved her to ICU and this is what she looks like.

I want to know where the poop came from or why that happened and she just died . it’s like white came out of both ends and then she passed and i’m not sure why

The ventilation, or lack thereof, at the substrate level is my concern here. Stagnant air is a killer of Avics seen plenty here. Those clip together frames don’t really seal well, so maybe not, but if that’s the case moving her into a more stuffy, humid environment is not helping her.

yeah I think I should’ve drilled more holes into her enclosure it was pre drilled with ventilations cuz I got it on amazon. I probably should’ve known better. I put her in icu with more holes than her enclosure thinking maybe she was dehydrated but I don’t think she’s alive

she didn’t move no but I was hoping maybe she would move if I helped her out with water and more air maybe she’ll wake up

I am sorry for your loss, that last message broke my heart.
Vipers right it looks like impaction. When poo can't escape it has nowhere to go but up which might explain the white from her mouth and unfortunately once that bad its coming out of the mouth there is no saving the t, or not in my experience anyways. I had this happen to a xenesthis sp bright af she came to me already impacted,I didn't know the seller never said she wasn't well, she ate once, but only half the meal then stopped eating n hid for 6 months in here burrow, I thought she was in premoult so was checking on her every week till I found her unresponsive in her burrow surrounded by white goo that was also dripping from her mouth.......she did not make it.

Idk know what causes the impaction, dehydration, picking up sub with food , too much food , a defect in the t, could be one of em could be all of em or it could be something else completely, but whatever it is its a horrible thing to experience. I truly am sorry for your loss.

I've read the whole thread, I'm very sorry for your loss, the enclosure looks like it would have had enough ventilation. At least to me.

I'm maybe going through a similar situation with my pink toe...
So if I may can I ask you a question?
I hope you don't think me insensitive at this time, but I've been tearing my hair out with anxiety with mine.

Did your girl start sagging on the glass sideways or head down with her abdomen very lax ? And by lax I mean her butt hanging loosely relaxed over her back..
Not eating and barely drinking drops of water I spritz on the acrylic from a water bottle.

Very sorry, your enclosure for her is lovely.
Regards

not that I know of. she was perfectly normal yesterday before I woke up and saw her like that. she was hanging out on the top of her enclosure. i didn’t watch her go down from the side of the glass cuz I found her like this. she didn’t eat much last week when I fed her and I wouldn’t see her drink water. I guess I should’ve took precautions when that happened maybe she’d still be alive if I knew better I just thought she was in premolt

Sounds like spoody yoga, your t maybe in premoult I have spoods that hang like this when they are going to moult.
Eg the most recent, this is Azura she's not far from moulting her butt is already dark and she sat like that for hours and has done a few times over the past week.
Sounds like your avic is doing the same thing. Just keep her water dish full n try not to worry.
