Since moving my tarantulas into my living room, I've been looking for a shelving option that can support my T tanks, and also looks like it belongs in a living room and not a garage. I've found, for really cheap too, a pine wood shelving unit. Now I'm well aware pine is a no no for tarantulas, but to what extent?
Would I have issue putting my tanks on the pine shelves? The tarantulas would have no direct contact with the wood, but I worry about fumes or anything of that nature.
Any input on whether a pine shelving could cause an issue would be wonderful, just remember once again, it would only be the shelves the tanks would be placed on, and the spiders would not have any direct contact with the wood.
