I named my new little P. irminia "Pelona". In venezuelan spanish it means - an impersonation of death / the grim reaper. Plus i think Pelona is a really pretty sounding name:)

B smithi - Indie

My B. smithi is Little Ronnie James, the H. gigas is Giggity Gigas, the violaceopes is Ziggy Stardust, my A. chalcodes of dubious origins is Ol' Girl. When my pulchra reappears, he/she will be either Glenn Danzig or Joan Jett. I think my cambridgei and irminia may be Sid and Nancy. The rest have yet to distinguish themselves.

I start all my Ts off with female names 'til I know for sure they're males. All spiders have always struck me as female, think it's the 'ol black widow/males always eaten myth that rules my emotions.
Grammostola rosea - Tessa T. Tarantula, she's my first. It just fit her.
Avicularia versicolor - Monique Le Spidere, sounds exotic.
Brachypelma boehmei - Conchita Lolita Taranchula,it's from Mexico.
Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens - Raecine Le Rainbow Spider, sounds multi-colored
Avicularia Ulrichea - Willa Starburst Spiderett - it looks willowy
Coremiocnemus sp. blue - Dessiree Darla Tarantula, name just came to me.
I'm new at this hobby so naming my Ts is part of the fun. I love walking up to their enclosure and calling them by name as if they really cared!

B.smithi - Marian; just because it sounds mexican ;P

B.emilia - Ria; named after a girl I like who I rarely see in the campus. No, I'm not a stalker. :8o

A.geniculata - Evory; because she's black as ebony and white as Ivory. Not the most creative, I know.:?

H.Lividum - Cortana; because she's blue like the girl Master Chief talks to about his missions :)

P.regalis - Naomi; I just thought it was fitting to give her that name :p

and the others are still slings. I don't like giving them names until I have confirmed their sexes. {D

Great names here, makes me want to get more and more Ts so I can give them cool names. :D I'm naming all my Ts after me and my friend's RPG characters. To us their names are like an inside joke, so other people don't really get why the they are so deviously awesome. Sometimes I decide it for similar looks (e.g. hair colour = T's colour), behaviour or just because I "get a feeling".

A. geniculata - Alexa (0.1, named after a famous, happy-go-lucky female gunsmith)
B. smithi - Damn (0.0.1, named after a short, fair-haired boy who works as a night-time guard in a prison)
L. parahybana - Shamra (0.1, named after a woman, a former Mossad agent, who hates everything and everybody; also an arabic word for "ready for battle")
N. chromatus - Cadaver or just Cada (0.0.1, named after a really, really weird doctor who tries to bring the dead back to life)

Btw, curiousme, your P. irminia's name means "sister" in Finnish. :D

Even though I know that's not how it's meant, I'm getting great enjoyment from thinking you give your tarantulas a last name of ditto. :D
