I like to make my enclosures look good but i feel i cant put any decoration in my tank because they provide too much hiding spots for the crickets meaning my T cant find them and I cant remove them. Ironically the crickets seem to survive longer with a hungry spider than in the actual cricket keeper, any advice??

Get a long pair of forceps for feeding and try and drop the cricket as close to the T as you can get. That usually helps me with MIA crickets. Cheers

I guess that they survive longer as the conditions in the Spiders tank are better for them than in the Cricket keeper... Having said that, I buy my crickets small and can normally keep them for several months until they are fully mature in a keeper if not fed to my spiders first. As said above, a long pair of feeding tongs works well, its really cool when you get one to take the Crickets out of the tongs too... I recently got some Exo Terra 12" stainless tongs for about £7 a really good investment and much better than the plastic pair I was using before.

I would pull the legs off of them. They're still alive and wiggling enough to entice your T, but they can't hop away and hide as easily.

I do it by lopping off the legs first before feeding it to my T. I also make sure that it's in a clear spot that my T can easily access.

I guess you can just try a tongs feed them its easier and fun sometimes to watch them take it.
