Hey all,
Peso is burrowed much deeper into his substrate compared to usual. This isn't a big problem. Though not obligatory in his burrowing, he's oppurtunistic, nonetheless. I'm just worried that this sudden intense burrowing is out of fear of me and my handling attempts.

There may be something to that. When I first got mine, it was really too fast and skittish, but I tried to handle it anyway and ended up having to chase it down and corral it. The day after, it started to dig a burrow. But we may be projecting human emotions onto them by using the phrase "out of fear", it could be some innate reaction based on external stimuli, not thought out or felt.
