Unfortunately, I've never gotten a chance to accurately measure it. I would say in the 8 to 10 inch range, but I could be off...

Scott, those videos were great. The last one really showed how flexible the skin was right after molt. I always wondered how 'pedes molted, and now I know.

Anyone ever watch old Godzilla movies, namely the ones with Mothra in them? You might have thought Mothra's larva form came off kind of cheesy with the crinkly skin, but voila! These vids show they were really well ahead of their time - the skin moved in exactly the same way... LOL! :}

Thanks for the compliments guys. Funny thing is, since I took those, I caught it a second time on video as well. Have no idea where the damn videos are though. Never got the chance to "slim" them down for posting so to speak. For some reason, my sub never goes underground and is always out and about, even when he molts. Of course, that may have to do with the fact that I have no hide for him in his tank....
