Now thats what I'm talking about. :D
That head shot is great.
I have a male and female. Their quite small yet, and just started eatting fuzzies. The male has a lot more yellow.
He also has a little more attitude. He doesn't mind putting a bite on us when we grab him. LOL
I'm looking forward to breeding them one day.

Thanks for the pics. Dave.

Not to re-hash a thread that's getting old, but I thought I should post this pic here instead of starting a whole new thread. Here's a pic of my JCP...well, I don't have to tell you what she's doing.

Those are all very nice pictures, especially the Gaboon vipers and the JCP. I've never seen a Gaboon viper eat (in person, that is), but I saw one yawn. It was an adult and I'm never going to forget those fangs. IMHO, Gaboon vipers, Eyelash vipers and Temple vipers are the most beautiful snakes in the world. (O.K. blue phase Green Tree Pythons, too) It's too bad that vipers are too dangerous for all but the most experienced keepers.

A snake will continue to eat pinks even after it grows large enough to need bigger food but there are a couple of reasons you will need to switch to larger mice when it can take them.

1st off it would take a ton of pinks to make a decent meal as the snake grows.

2nd pinks dont have calcified bones and they deprive the snake of nutrients it needs.

I've also heard that snakes need the hair for roughage.
Pinks, as you know are hairless.
