That is amazing, the dad carried the tad to a new spot, went and got the mom to feed it. Like that, life carries on!!!

Yeah I had no idea they watched over them in the bromeliads, let alone feed them too if needed.

I agree. Did you know that his brother is Richard Attenborough, who played Dr. John Hammond in Jurassic Park?

I poke around on Dendroboard every now and then. Some folks keep and breed those tadpole carrying frogs. Here's one example.

Many dart frogs will carry their tadpoles to a water source, but not many keep feeding the tadpoles after deposition.

So cool. Frogs are my true heart, the wife's as well. When we retire and have time to care properly for them, that's the dream. Wall to Wall vivarium of frogs and geckos! uused to keep so many, but it's a real time suck and responsibility.

For those that find the dart frogs that feed with eggs interesting, also check out the microhylla from borneo that raise their young in pitcher plants. When we went there on a photo trip years ago and saw this, it literally blew our minds. our targets were flying frogs, and we heard a weird chart in some understood area. Had no idea this even exisred at that point. It was nothing short of surreal, easily the best memory of our lives. The kiddos birth is a distant second...
