"Paruroctonus Boreus" In British Columbia ( Canada )

Been trying to get a picture of a little guy to put to rest they are in the Kamloops to Ashcroft region of B.C but been having no luck, I had found one as a teenager that had been squished on a rail maintenance road but never seen one since, (Did find a Trap-door spider last year while black-lighting which was exciting!) Was wondering if anyone else has seen any in the region (And if you have any tips for trying to find 1!) Thank you for your time~!

The Okanagan 'desert' would be your best bet IMO. Boreus prefers drier sandier habitat

Smokehound is right. I remembered a video I saw a few years back that someone found one near Okanagan. I was actually able to find the video again so here's the link to it:

You'll actually see alot of cool stuff in the Okanagan region, if you look at night in sandy areas you may find some eremobates (windscorpions)

You guys have a neat looking Schizocosa species there, too.

Oh my goodness Thank you for all the info!! Wondering if the areas a little more north (meritt, ashcroft kamloops kinda idea) would have the scorps ! I've noticed most of the arid flora to the south is present in pockets around the area such antelope-brush, sage, and prickly-pear cactus with similar yearly rainfall levels. This is doubled with the fact most of the desert specialists such as Pallid Bats and Great Basin Spadefoots which are exclusive in Canada to the South Okanagan have populations present in the area on record. But yet nothing I can find states the Northern Boreal Scorps can be found here! Sometimes the odd reference to "South Okanagan " but nothing about the north most tips of the Great Basin (Pockets of the South Thompson). Not that there seems to have been a large amount of research into the arachnids of the area in general. But! I am hoping someone online has come across some mention of them being in the area or some insight into my quandary!

I do like this species since it can withstand harsh winters, hopefully I can get some one day.

I had one years ago that was found on smith rd. In westkelowna. It was captured by my sister in law when they were sitting around a backyard fire. It just walked by. It was very small and active. We observed it in a terrarium for a couple of weeks and then released it back where it was captured. It's fast nervous and agile.

Several months of searching has paid off!! (Admittedly with this bloody smoke it's been a pain) Many many nights of looking silly up in the sage with a UV light and not seeing a darn thing Then finally !!!!

Turns out I'm slight less crazy then I thought and Northern Scorps can indeed be found farther north then their recognized range. Was found on sandy hillside covered in sage and cactus with dried grasses filling in the patchwork, there were little burrows into the sand everywhere and metallic colored Spider Wasps in abundance. The night was warm but had a strong wind and gusts, 0 moonlight or ambient light from buildings or street lights just total darkness. I'll be throwing up some more pictures later as this was taken out in the field , in the dark on a rattle snake infest hill- I was rather anxious to get the heck out of there.
