Part of tarantula molt missing

Help I am getting very worried on behalf of my rose hair tarantula, he is in a 5 gallon tank and has a water bowl with him always filled . However I noticed this night that only the molt of the abdomen and face were there but not the legs . Should I be concerned ? He seems normal and active to me but I am scared he’s had a bad shed and what it may lead to . I had him for 8 years now and 8 months . I didn’t have him as a baby baby but he was like 3-4inches . Is there anything I can do to help him if there’s something wrong with him ?

It's not unusual for there to be parts of the molt that aren't attached to the rest of the molt.

I agree with Mori, it’s pretty common for parts of the molt to get destroyed. I don’t hear anything to be worried about, but seeing would be helpful

My A.Avic DESTROYED the molt. It is arboreal so there were pink legs raining down everywhere. My OBT I have yet to get an intact molt. I have pulled two from the enclosure and they were only partial.

In your case it IS possible they were buried. Tarantulas sometimes just decide they do not like something lying out and hide it away. If yours has a tunnel or hide they have even decided it was good scaffolding.

I think if it is walking normal it is not stuck shed.

I had a G. rosea that would munch her molts. She would go through and suck any moisture out of them regardless if there was a water dish 2 inches away. Always leave them in perfect bundled up balls. I assumed after 10 years she was a she and this was normal.
