Been having some success with this species less common Pandinus species. I have a female that gave birth to 6x healthy babies, something that seems to be more in common with Pandinoides species. Now about a month later ive successfully paired her with another unrelated male. They are pretty fun to work with, males have much more red and elongated chelae and arms, and tend to be a little larger. Multiple if both sexes have lived communally for a time just fine. Slightly smaller than imperator or dictator, but still a really nice sized and fun scorpion. Would be cool to see others try to put some work into getting more going

Ay, I know of others (besides myself, ha ha) who would like to get these going, but I have yet to see any true P. viatoris available in recent history.

Excellent work though! Keep us updated on how it all turns out please :).

Thanks,

There are several European sellers that have them available. Also P. Cavimanus.
Here's an example of a well known Belgian seller: https://geleedpotigen.com/index.php/product/pandinurus-viatoris-sub-adult/
It seems they are able to ship to your side of the pond
I have done business with them in the past, nice people.
I have also spotted a seller in the Netherlands at a invert show that has P. Cavimanus in stock.
Dutch seller: http://www.ttbreptiles.nl/epages/64...Shops/64193503/Categories/Dieren/Schorpioenen
Shipping those to your part of the globe is of course a bit risky because it's winter+long shipping time now.
Just a disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with sellers mentioned above.

True, true, but will they do it legally? I have no desire to join the ever-growing ranks of brown-boxers. It is also very expensive, so to do it would not be worth it for me as of now unless I organized another import.

Thanks,

Yes, shipping is expensive.
But it's worth it if you can breed them since there aren't any available near you.
If you choose not to, that's OK.
Mr. Dylan Keife is probably aware that he has 6 little gold mines. :cigar:

Thank you for providing those sellers though. I may try and organize something more ambitious than importing from Canada in the near future depending on a few things (legality being the main one). I guess we'll see...

And I'm sure @Dylan Keife is aware, ;).

Thanks,

I’ve been trying to breed p.viatoris. Paired my female with my largest male, they lived together for 4 months and have now been separated. Female is clearly gravid and can’t wait for babies!

Both my males are larger than the female and have more red colouration on the pedipalps and telson than the female. Tried keeping the males together but they would immediately start fighting, so they’re being kept separate. Def one of my fav scorpions.
