Windycity,

before maturity are males very similar to females in colloration. Here are pics of an adult Pamphobeteus sp. South Equador female, a little bit shy )

MetalDragon_boy,

nice female of Pampbobeteus ultramarinus ) My two are similar, I like them a lot.

Update ...

Hello again.

I tryied to mate today 2 of my Pamphobetsus sp. species.
First, Pamphobeteus wacketi (ex. Vitalius platyomma) wasn`t succesfull yet. I tried my old female (approx. 14 years old!!!), but she wasn`t in "mood" for mating. I mated her twice already in past years, but she didn`t make any eggsac. She is real giant, almost in size of adult Theraphosa blondi female.
My second, young female, from which I got an eggsac last year, is freshly molted, so I will feed her a little bit yet, to be sure there is no risk for male ) She killed one male before molting already...

Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

And here are some pictures of Pamphobeteus sp. Ecuador mating, succesful now! I will try it again in few days, and mate my second female later too. Both females are freshly molted, so I believe in success...
