I sometimes see their slings for sale here for around $15-30. They are incredibly beautiful, although, like pokies I think I'll just marvel at them in other's collection. I am not even sure if I will ever get into pokies, as much as I love them.

I fully agree with what you said, some T's venom are just too risky for me, while I never plan to handle them and make sure to always be cautious when handling them, sometimes accidents do happen.

As for slings or adults, I will be getting a sling so I can grow with it and get to know the T's temperament, also the T I am looking to get is from a friend that is willing to give advice if needed. I will be coming over to observe the T and might not even pick it up yet.
You're very fortunate to have a mentor. Majority of us had no one to help us outside of Arachnoboards.

It's a very rewarding thing to raise a tiny sling to an adult. It is for me at least. I prefer to raise slings to adulthood as I really enjoy them. Plus they are alot easier to maintain.

More than half of my Ts I've had since slings or large slings, I find raising them from a small size much more rewarding than getting adults.

My last few Ts I got as slings close to juvy size one was 1.5” other 2.5” from a pet store because I couldn’t afford an order online to buy my preferred species. They wanted $129 for a fireleg sadly I can’t afford that. It’s One of my favorites, I got an Stromatopelma calceatum and man that is faster than any pokie or psalmous or obt I ever had. Most likely it’s male but o well can’t win them all, waiting on a molt.

I would like to update everyone, I haven’t been online for a while but its been almost a week since I got the Pulcher (around 3-4cm) it’s been doing well. The Pulcher was a bit too big for it’s original enclosure so I decided to rehome it right away to not stress it twice. It webbed up an area under the wood I provided, using the substrate as “building material” now I have a vertical wall of substrate. It’s eating well too! The picture makes it seem like there is not much vertical space, it has a lot of space although it decided to build the substrate up, making it look like theres barely any wood.
