All of my specimens, except for a few arboreal slings, have water dishes AND get a sprits. For every species I own I look at worldclimate.com and try to simulate their natural conditions as much as reasonably possible.
So obviously there is no reason to spray most of your north American terrestrials, since I aost guarantee your home locality has a higher static humidity than Arizona and Mexico.
But for avics, pokies, south American T's in general, and non-african old world species they all will periodically get dampened sub and/or a spray on the walls.
Specifically my P. subfusca communal bury their dish eith dirt curtains within hours of placing it, so they are given water exclusively through misting. I've even consistently watched them running out if their respective nooks and crannies while I'm spraying. These animals DO experience rain in the wild, it's not going to hurt them. It only ensures that they have more options available to hydrate properly
