Does anyone know the full-grown size on P. miranda? My little female is just over 2 inches and I was trying to figure whether she would fit in a 5.5 gallon aquarium when full grown.
I much prefer to keep my ornamentals in glass where possible as I find they are the ones I seem to watch the most.
Also on personality, those with P. miranda, do you find them to be reclusive? Mine will hide at the slightest noise/light and I find it difficult to get good pictures of her. (hence no photo in this thread). I've heard they are calmer, but mine seems nervous and is incredible quick.
Thanks for any information!

Ralph, I don't have a P miranda, but I do have ornatas, which get quite large. I keep the adults in a rubbermaid pickle jar, so it's not even 5 gallons. It's just tall, probably about 15" or so. They don't see to need alot of horizontal space, just enough vertical space.

Holley/Leon,
Thanks for the information. I'm looking to when she is larger, and will probably put her in a 5.5 gallon. I will put a number of pieces of corkbark in to give herplaces to hide and hopefully that will make-up for the shorter height.
By the way Holley, how large are your ornata's? I've heard them and rufilata are the largest of the Poecilotheria. I've got a female rufilata thats about 3.5" and have considered getting an ornata as well. Also, are they nervous/aggressive? I've heard they seem to tolarate their keepers less than other Pokies.
Thanks!
Ralph

I have a sub adult male. He's 6" or so at this point. He's actually not terribly nervous, much less so then my P formosa sub adult male. He will actually take roaches off the tongs. I've heard the same thing you have about them, but have not experienced it!

The tank she is sitting on measures 7" wide. (roughly corner to corner of that pic as you can see by the mesh)
