p. metallica + small dog = death?

I'll wait a couple years before I get my dream tarantula =) If at all. I don't want to jump into deep water...I could likely handle it...but I don't want to risk it...even myself getting bitten. If it bit me, I'd probably instantly die of a heart attack even before the venom kicks in. =S

Get an Homoeomma sp. "blue" - they look amazingly blue, are new-worlds from Peru and generally not as bitey as a Poecie. Also a plus: Lacks the potent venom, but comes with urticating hairs. Seldomly uses them though, mine are simply skittish.

I don't have house dogs, nor purebreds. My dogs are rescues... I have a fabulous bond with all my animals. But I wouldn't let a dog nor a cat in where they can knock over a container with a $600+ spider in it!
