What is it with these Philippine dudes?? Don't mean to be rude or something but they seem to have a penchant for getting advanced species and knowing nothing about it but thinking they know a lot. If i got an euro for every person posting this exact same content from the Philippines, I'd be rich by now!

@Kyayro
Although some people here ( europe) keep them communally, this is only in its testing phase. And it is being done by long time keepers and breeders mostly, not beginners.
You do not want a communal of this species as your first. Getting this species as your first is something i would not recommend either. It is fast, has potent venom, and to add to that, in your case, if it escapes, it will just set up shop in your home because your climate is perfect for it. It will become a threat to you, your housemates and your neighbours.

Please be careful and house it appropriately and take caution when dealing with it.
It’s probably just a result of the information available to certain communities. I wouldn’t go as far as to fault someone for not knowing something. After all, each one of us at one point didn’t know the answer to the OP’s question. At least he asked the question, rather than just doing it assuming everything will be fine.

Not to be nitpicky or start an argument but he actually assumed it would be fine to get an advanced species as a first without bothering to research.
Look up the posts originating from the Philippines and you'll see what i mean.

Oh, I’ve seen those posts. And I get your point. But I guess as beginners, people are forced to wade through all sorts of conflicting information, and make judgement calls regarding credibility. So expecting them to figure out that AB is the best info right off the bat isn’t reasonable of us. If someone reaches out to us for information, we probably shouldn’t respond with judgement. That will only push people away. And they will either experiment on their own, or simply give up on Ts all together.

Actually The reason I asked this is because I saw in the wiki that P metallicas are a communal species + a G pulchripes is a docile tarantula meant they could possibly be alright in a very large enclosure But now atleast I know I actually did reasearch a lot on the P metallica species and i don't mess with it They only time i touch it's enclosure is when i feed and humidify it I've done my research but I didn't find tdata for 2 different species of tarantula living together. Well atleast now I know Thanks everyone for the information I'm really not offended. I actually bought the tarantula from a breeder because there were no petstores in my area that sold tarantulas I'm only 16 and commuting in the Philippines for me is very confusing since I only leave my house for school. Thanks everyone!

You're 16? With a P.metallica as your first. Please please please be careful. A bite for an adult is no picnic, but for minors it is a certain trip to the hospital.

That's debatable. And has been debated/argued over numerous times, so I'm not going into that discussion again.

Well, you already have both slings so.
Just do your research :)
Husbandry on them both is extremely different,as long as you're careful you shouldn't have too worry too much.
Just make sure to give that Pokie the respect she deserves, she's a whole different game then your G. pulchripes.
Don't be too worried though, you can find plenty of helpful tips of dealing with OW's and how to rehouse and such.

Thanks I'm planing on rehousing her actually since she's in a pretty small container I'm gonna use petko's technique of having 3 containers and gonna use tweezers but actually my P met is pretty weird as it doesn't hide from the light when i inspect if it eats it food or not

Those species are readily available here in the Philippines. Even newbies jump to pokies on their first purchase then you see posts like these in the fb pages... Kinda sad with all the technology they can't even google the simplest things. Goodluck buddy hope that Pmet never bites you.
