it only took some bites of the pothos plant.. as i wanted to take the locust out, the poky striked.
i know pothos are poisonous for humans and other mamals, could even kill a cat.
i am not going to feed any locusts again in enclosures with pothos plants.
how worrisome is this?
it happend 3 days ago, poky seems fine and is outside and acting normal..

She'll probably be alright. But yeah, locusts can be a nuisance in terrariums with plants.

They can be toxic in high quantities to mammals, I doubt that something will happen.

What Smotzer said. Pothos ("Efeutute") is a very common plant in tarantula terrariums for ages now. Locusts are very common feeder insects for just as long. They are little eating robots and basically start munching everything green as soon as they touch it :).It must have happened countless times that they ate a bit of Pothos before they got tagged by the inhabitant of the terrarium. If it were a real problem, the forums would be full of reports.

Agreed, given how common both are if this was something bad that could happen with this combo I’m sure there would be threads about it. But to my knowledge never heard of this in a bad way.
