Ah, I wish that female were mine. No, that's a picture of my male with the breeder's female. I sent him off on a loan, the breeder sent me that, and unfortunately I never heard from him again. Lesson learned - loans are garbage, only take trades or sales.
That sucks. :( seems to not be so common anymore do most sell or trade off their males now they don't intend on breeding instead of loans?

I'd say loans are still very common. I'd have no problem loaning to someone that frequents this forum and who I interact with often, but not to some Joe Schmoe that posted an ad in the classifieds. He had great reviews, but he's never around here anymore. I'm over it - I'm really only out the $20 for shipping. I'm actually just happy that my male got to fulfill his evolutionary duty.

Yea their is a male lp at my lps hooked out ready to go someone donated they want $125! They said it's cheaper lol. If they diddnt want so much I'd be tempted to grab him and find someone who wanted him or find a female but not for that kinda money when he most likely will
Be lunch hah. Went down stair again and got a few more pics of my girl out in the light. Think it's a girl always chews the molts then tossed out a gnarly ball lol this time she diddnt bolt got some good pics maybe you guys can confirm with my thinking in female always nice to have someone else confirm its about 3 inches or so

He never got back to you at all or the male died during courtship?

Perhaps both. He just stopped replying to my messages.
Booooooooooooooooo!!!!

Communication isn't too difficult....Loans are great, but it takes a certan amount of trial and error before you can come to settle on people you deem reliable....trust me, reliable people are out there, you just have to weed through a lot of irresponsibility and selfishness to locate them.

If that happens again you can give them a negative review on here.

Make sure you've exhausted all options as far as a replacement male or financial compensation

It's only been two months since I last heard from him. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and giving it another month before I do that, hence why I haven't brought up a name.

My girl does not like light. She lives in the dark and if I'm super quiet and use a dull flashlight, I can see feet. If someone next door turns on a light though... poof... gone...

I think she's remodeling or getting very hungry because she was actually out the other night.

It's hard to tell, but her carapace is actually an emrald green. Simply stunning!

Completly worth not seeing more than her feet for the last two molts!

Great sp to go with. They are semi arboreal to where there are even posts showing them to be fossorials in many ways. I recommend you try aiming for a female as the male dulls out rather quick as it starts reaching maturity

Don't see anything wrong with that T. Perhaps it's in premolt as it looks somewhat dull color-wise. If it suddenly seals off the hide, leave it be. Just keep the waterdish filled and be patient.

I think the dull colors are from the long exposure and extensive webbing i took the photo through. She just molted a little over a month ago.
