Yeah, I was pretty bummed about it. I've got just the one sling, and I'll definitely make note of how old s/he lives.
On the plus side, they're (according to only what I've read) extremely fast at laying sacs/hatching and in their development overall. So there's that. I might get a whack at getting my ~1/4" P.baeri to produce slings and raise them to eating age, before my sub-adult A.chalcodes female is even ready to attempt a pairing.

I got 3 slings of the same size recently. Sadly I lost one of them but I found an adult female at a good price and I'm debating whether or not I should get her. I just don't know if I will be able to find her a male before she dies.

It seems to me that if you're more interested in breeding than just keeping her as a pet, it would be wiser to either find her a penultimate mate before you buy her, or just wait til your slings are mature and sexed and start your breeding project then. With the short lifespan, you won't have to wait long, and then if needed, purchase additional P.baeri.
Especially if you don't know the age of the female you're looking at, or the date of her last molt.
Then, you could spend the cash on a different spidey!

Found myself a male so i m going to get the female. Did some searching about breeding and it doesn't seem too difficult.
